The Light Bulb that Goes Boom!

How many times have you found yourself sitting there, wondering, "What am I doing with my life? What about my dreams? Where has my joie de vivre gone?" Well, that's never happened to me. But if it had, I imagine I'd have to consider starting a new project on the Internet, hoping that this one hits the mark.

I've been a writer and a programmer on several webcomic sites that ultimately floundered--for a number of reasons. One, I suck at drawing, coloring, and it used to take me almost a full day to put out a comic. One comic. Second, it's really hard to find someone talented with as much time on their hands as me. But lo! Behold the Purple that rides from the horizon, with a mighty pencil in one hand and a sketchbook tucked under her arm. She rides a mighty, disturbing, fleshless steed with sharp, drooling teeth and a mane spattered with gore.

I'm not implying that Purple couldn't draw, say, a children's comic, but I am saying that it would be a waste of her excellent and terrible talent.

So, here we are. New website, new comic, new epoch. And I haven't even introduced the wind beneath Desperation Ink's shuddering wings. She's none other than Topher, who has taken to carrying a whip at her side and a chastising water gun in the other. Being that Purple and I are the sweetest of darlings, we often beg Topher to whip us instead. She'd rather soak us. Well, soak me. Purple curls her arms and hands at her neck and makes helpless whining sounds. I'm never sure if it'd be best to comfort her with pets and hugs, or if we should call a specialist to help bring her back from her hysterically cute regressive state.

I work nights, so I'm very sleepy. I might take a nap now. You should too. It's probably late where you are. You'll need it. Desperation Ink is coming soon, and you'll want to be ready.
